What CDROM devices support CDG Karaoke discs?

This used to be fairly limited, however, many of the newer CDRW drives have the capability to play and burn CDG discs. Note that many of these are made by the same manufacturer, and simply have different brand names and model numbers. Even drives made by the same manufacturer and with the same model number may have different firmware versions, which can affect the ability to read/write CDG discs. Drives with an asterisk (*) SHOULD handle CDG according to manufacturers specifications, but they have not been verified as working.

Most Yamaha Recorders are compatible.
Most Plextor drives are compatible.
Some HP Recorders are compatible (8100 series and higher).
If a drive is listed as CD-Text compatible it MAY also support CDG.
